I have a white LS, and finding a grill that would look good is kinda hard. I like the trenz and mesh grills, but the look of the McLaren the most. Unfortunately, I think the chrome is needed with the color of the car.

Anyways, I was in home depot earlier, and thought that maybe I could use some aluminum sheet, and drill holes in the pattern of the McLaren grill, and polish it to match the chrome piece that is above the grill.

Anybody know if this could be done?

what about buying the mclaren grill having the sirrounding edges painted white to match your car, then having the middle (holes) painted chrome. that may look tight. if not you can just have the whole thing painted white. its a win win situation. what about that

Those are good ideas, but I would like to see what the mclaren grill looks like all white. Also, grayghost said somewhere that chroming the grill would be about $300. If my car was silver or something, I don't think it would be as hard to decide.

how do we order?
Are you talking about ordering from Ametco? You have to call them and they send this huge piece perforated piece that you have to cut yourself. You might want to see if several folks want to buy then it could cut down the costs. Some folks at LLSOC did this a while back on the black piece for the lower grille.

Buy an LSE grille, and paint the surround to match your white LS.

The LSE was only offered in silver, red, and black, so you won't find a white one.

Body color surround w/chrome slats = beauty.
