Grille bought from a member. Not as described

Some people are dishonest and cruel. Assuming you paid via Paypal, file a dispute. Nothing much else you can do.

never buy from some random new member first of all.. Dude has three posts, general rule of thumb that is a bad idea. There is a good chance you will never hear back.

Also completely possible the delivery service broke it. I have had that happen before.

the seller should have disclosed that it had already been broken off and hot glued back on. great condition to me at least means not broke.

that is sh!tty, and always why I won't buy anything from brand new members...

in the pic where you circled stuff it looks the same as the sellers pic.. ive never switched a grille so im just looking at it as a casual user.
i guess i can see where something looks glued/taped in your 2nd picture... shady on his end if they were already 're-attached'.. he said they were 'in place' which is tehnically true but ethically fcked up. you should have asked more questions, he should have been more upfront... that is, assuming it didnt get damaged in shipping.

With a little back and forth and through paypal. Seller and I came to a fair resolution. Thank you for your comments. I knew the risk buying from a new member. But I asked multiple questions and requested more pictures before the purchase. It all seemed legit until I received the grille. My concern was the plastic posts that hold the chrome to the surrounding. They all happened to be broke which according to the seller he didn't know. But regardless the seller came through.

glad it was resolved... BUT like stated new members are always a risk (but so are old somethimes / lots of interesting reads on that)... looks salvageable though. GL

I practically stole my McLaren... got it in the hood for $75 and it had two broken tabs. I was able to epoxy both of them and honestly the joint turned out to be stronger than they originally were. Just get some epoxy and epoxy them. It's a long process, but well worth it and it will last forever.

this is very easy to repair, i had to pop mine off when I had my LSE grille repainted from my 2000's color to the 03's... if there is a little bit of plastic that still sticks through the holes, take a blow torch and heat up the end of a crap screwdriver or knife and then press it right where the posts go through to melt it all together. if there isnt enough material left to stick through, I used a small dab of epoxy on each tab and held them together with clothespins while it cured.
