...p*sses me off!

I've got a couple of the light-bar lights out on the edge of my gen-1 trunk lid. So I go to autozone to buy the bulbs, and NOWHERE in the owner's manual does it contain information on the type of bulb or how to access them.

Can someone please pass on this apparently TOP SECRET Ford information?

All the way home I felt SO happy not to be working there anymore.

Hey buddy,

How convenient. I just did this today.
Once you expose the backs of the light sockets, give them a slight turn and they'll pop loose. Then just pull on the bulb that's dead and it'll pop right out.

All you have to do is take it to Autozone (or any auto store) and match it to one of the ones in the bulb aisle. I just replaced a smaller marker bulb today on my light bar, and it's easy to find. When in doubt, ask for help, and have the old bulb in your hand for comparison.

You: "Hey, I need a new one of these."
Them: "Ok, follow me."

As for instructions, check this link for removing the trunk lock cover. It will also tell you how to get to the lights. This will be the easiest thing you ever did on your Mark. Trust me.

John easy job! just pop off the trunk carpet cover that covers the lights and there they are. Torque gave you all of the bulds needed LOL... leave it to Torque to find everything you will need.

Thanks for that link - simple enough. It still irritates me that Ford doesn't list service instructions for all exterior lights in the manual - although since the carpet clips require a special tool perhaps they simply don't consider these lamps to be owner maintenance items.
