Yes the stoping power is ok. For a very short period of time until those little rotors get hot. Then youll wish you had the factories back on. I will be getting the cobra calipers and rotors by next summer. They are not good for high speed stopping at all. Do not recommend gt downgrade for marks, very disappointed.

Pfft!

Cobra brakes aren't even enough......
True. They work great for a bit but heat soak after 4 stops from 120. They are 10x better (no exaggeration) over the stock brakes still.

When you put on the gt stuff did you get the good
Rotors and pads or the cheep crap
Cheep includes factory stock

My buddy that shared driving duties during the power tour was impressed with the cobra brakes on mine and he owns little lite hondas

IM GOING WITH THE COBRAS, hub swap coming next week do i have to get anything drilled? tech articles anybody. search didnt show much detail.

For the cobras up front I only had to grind down one
Of the stock brake lines
I would recommend steel braided if you have the money and
Don't go cheep on the brake hardware
Also if your not hub converted you need to redrill the rotors to have the mark pattern
You're running 17s right and make sure you have the right banjo bolts for your calipers

well...
front and rear cobra hubs.
front and rear cobra rotors.
front cobra calipers and brackets.
rear mark viii caliper relocation bracket. (if you keep the rear mark viii rotors you will need to drill.)
and of course, wheels that are at least 17s in the stang bolt pattern.

Spining wheels has a nice braided brake line kit. Get the Ford copper washer and make sure you have the right banjo bolt to fit the caliper.
