Go to Ken's site: http://www.lskoncepts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=HID-001

That should give you an idea what you get, and what the variations are between the styles.

I just use Phillips Extreme crystalvision/clearvision (I forget their exact name) bulbs at the moment and will be getting the HID hopefully in the next few months.

i am lookin for the HID look without the high cost.

found these on ebay, any feedback on them be great.

Those are just bulbs, true HID has a much clearer and crisp look, but never the less they will make an improvement over stock for a lot less cost.

I paied 250.00 shiped to my door. I am using 8000K, Just rember the higher the light goes the lower output of the light is. (8000K is brighter then 10000K)I love my HID worth every penny. Only 1 problem, everyone flashes there highbeams at me..

If that's the case then you need aim your headlights down. Most OEM HID's are pointed at the ground at a certain distance.

To answer your question in regards to what is the difference between a D2S and a D2R is that the D2R HID bulb has a metallic strip along one edge to combat unwanted glare in a reflector headlamp housing. The D2S is a clear and naked bulb used in projector-type housing. The LS has a reflector type housing so it comes with a D2R. BMW, Audi who use a projector type assembly use the D2S. They both use the same base and bulb but the D2S does emit slightly more light than the D2R. Lincoln uses the 4100 kelvin rated Philips bulb. Philips and Osram-Sylvania are the most dependable HID bulb manufacturers in the marker. 4100K is daylight white and 6000K is slightly bluish white. Anything higher has more blueness and less brightness. SInce the 4100k is daylight white in color it is least fatiguing on the eyes and produces the most comfortable contrast on the road.

I agree with this statement. I ran 8000K bulbs for a while and they were too blue and did not emit much light. I then switched to the 6000K bulb and it was better but still just a tad bit too much blue. Then I finally got the 4300K bulbs and it is mucho better! It lights up the road better on my 30 minute rides to work every morning. The 8000 and 6000 had a cool color to them but I was looking for a more functional headlight beam.

Well, it's halogen. Halogen doesn't hold a candle (no pun intended) to HID. Once you go HID you'll never return to regular halogen again.

If these are the extreme crystalvision blubs - they're what im running now at 4300k, they're better than stock but definately not close to HID as GG said. Gives it a cleaner look and a straighter beam but i'm definately going HID as soon as I can.

thanks for the info,, yea i know HId IS BEST,, BUT HARD TO SPEND 300$ ON LIGHTS,..LOL

man i had those blue lights. they dont look like they belong on our cars. im sorry i had to spend the money on the hids...

I love the sylvania silver stars. Very clean light and has a hint of blue. Not certain what is coming on my LSE but if it is halogen you can bet I am replacing them first thing with SSS bulbs.

Hey Ken this might be the first mod. Do light bulbs count as a mod?

I just bought a set of hoen lows and fogs. I'm hoping these work nicely for me.

Well, of course they do! As a matter of fact my first 30 sets of bulbs from HOEN will be here tomorrow. I'm now a HOEN dealer!

Do you have the fog lights? If so what's the price and i need them in 8000K.
Also who makes them?

I'll have the 9145 bulbs and pricing will be same as it is on HOEN's website at www.hoen-usa.com. However, I'll be able to ship them much cheaper than HOEN does. They charge some outrageous shipping costs. I'll just charge a flat $5 any amount of bulbs. I plan to update my website either tomorrow or Wednesday so that bulb orders can be placed.
