It was a great ride to the top ... had to make the run a second time ... Not as bad as people had told me ... very similar to the ride to the top of Rocky Mountain National Park ...

Road west out of Yosemite National Park is better but not as long. Ride to the top of Pike's Peak is about 45 min unless you get behind a 10 mph mini van ...

They were practicing for the race to the top which is being held today. They say where this video was taken the racers go up at about 60-90 mph. Lower they will hit 130 mph.

They say the side car racers actually get the side cars to hang off the edge. I'll pass on that ... LOL...

We wanted to but didn't have the time ... 94m5 said the same that it's the best way to go up the mountain ... mainly for what you all get to see.
