had an awesome weekend.

well, my best friend and his girlfriend came to visit me from massachusetts this weekend. i havent seen him in 6 years since my wedding. he was and still is considered my best friend. we lost touch due to a somewhat ugly divorce he went through recently and we wanted to give him his space to get through it all. well i met his new girlfriend this weekend for the first time and she's awesome. his ex wife used to be my wife's best friend, i wish we never hooked them up together but whatever. anyway, we had a blast with them over the weekend, is was a short visit because they have a baby boy and work to contend with so we only got to spend 2 days together but they are coming back in march and we may go up and stay with them in a few months too, i need a reason to visit home anyway! here are a few pics of our last night with them, just me and my wife, and ron and stefanie out on a georgeous sunset at clearwater beach. ron got to meet my son for the first time but my daughter already knew him, the kids loved having them down, it was great but too short. i wish i could see them much more often. oh well, here are a few pics.

this was funny as hell, i took friday off from work because they were coming in friday morning. well ron's computer was broken, so i booked his tickets and rental car for him over the phone with him and he told me to get him a little piss pot car, so it said cobalt or similar compact car. so anyway skip to friday morning, he sends me a text saying we just landed, so i told him i would drive towards the airport and meet them so he could follow me back to the house, i'm pulled off the side of the courtney campbell causeway near tampa international and he calls and says i am just getting on the causeway now, i said ok i am waiting for you, what are you in? he says some crappy yellow nissan convertible , ok cool when you see me, just honk and i will pull out and you can follow me, so i see 30 cars coming over the bridge and the only yellow i see is a 09 yellow convertible vette, as they get close to me they flip me off, honk, and pass me about 120 mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the bridge is 5 miles long and it took me every bit of half the bridge to catch the prick!! we had fun blasting around this weekend in the vette and my mark we raised hell, i have a few short vid's i'll post up in a bit that vette killed my mark no matter what!!!
i am in no way saying i even had a remote chance in hell against this vette, all night my rear tires were sticking to everything, i had unreal grip all night, then i line up with ron, and soon as i say 3 my tires were like grease, all i did was boil the hell out of them for the first 100 feet after that it was pointless to even try!! the video is called turbo ron because growing up we always called ron " turbo " just a nickname!

i only had 1 chance to do anything to him and it was nail him on a roll, all night he kept getting me from a roll, everytime he heard me punch it he would take off, but most of them were from a 30 to 40 mph roll, so i tried it again at 65 mph and i had him, for a good 3/4 of a mile, when he finally got back up to me i was doing about 130 and i dont like driving like that, specially with a very mild bent front rim, but i was sick of him instigating me!!!!!
