I was getting gas in my mark VIII at 7-11 and some 40+ year old red-neck(we have a lot of those in Oklahoma)came up to me with a ticked off look on his face and thought I was gonna have to throw down and he said"flows and cobra badges on a mark, what the hell are u thinking?" I then explained that all mark VIII's have cobra engines and it's not that crazy and he said"well u sure have a sense of humor about your car", whatever that means.

the funny thing though is at the same place, 2 other guys(about my age or younger)told me that they loved my car. I guess old people just can't stand what i'm doing to their "dream cars" hahahhahhahah

his "idea"...is the truth.

Mark VIII got the 4.6 DOHC engine in 1993.
The Cobra got it in 1996. (a slight variance of)

I'd told the old man(BTW, 40 isnt old) not only did you slap some goodies on YOUR Mark VIII, but you bought it used for 1/10th the original selling price.

i was driving my mom around in the mark yesterday, and she saw this black monte carlo. she goes, "oh my god, i'd take that in a heart beat." i said really? and she got a puzzled look. we were going about 15 mph in a residential area and i slipped the traction control off. i said "you know why you wouldnt want that?" and she goes no...
i floored the mark, wheels still spun going 15 mph and she went up to 60 mph in first gear. we came to a stop. my reply was "you dont get that sound and power... stock.

i think shes more proud now lol.

-thank god no cops saw me. they tend to like pulling our mark over, and 60 in a 25 would be a lil bit of money
