Happen to Anyone Else?

The other night I overshot the stop line at a stop light. I put it in reverse and backed up up a a couple of feet, but when I shifted back into drive, it died. Never had a single issue w/ the car and this was probably nothing, but just wanted to find out if anyone else has had a similar thing happen.

Twice. My car has mysteriously died. Both times when I stopped after getting off the highway. Hasn't done it in months. Really not sure what the problem was at all.
