Hello guys hope everyone is having a great holiday so far. I am a new member but have been lurking for a while now. I have a 03 v8 which I believe the fuel injector is bad. I have a misfire on cylinder 8. all coils and plugs have been replaced. I have spark at the cylinder 8. I did a full compression test and cylinder 8 Is at 180 psi. I think I might have a fuel injector issue or timing. I am thinking of just changing the fuel injector and go from there but don't know how to do it. Anyone got any advice? Next thing I can think of is the timing might be off but I'm Not sure. What Is the best way to check the timing on the car? Appreciate your help

Timing (ignition) is controlled by the ecu so it's unlikely that the 'timing' itself is out of whack on one cylinder. You may have a bad cop or plug in spite of recent replacement.

To replace an injector, you must disconnect the electrical harness, remove the associated fuel rail, and then pull the injector out of its pocket in the intake manifold. Replacement is the reverse.

If/when you do this, have o-rings on hand for all of the injectors, as they are hardened by now and will very likely leak if you don't replace them.

Happy New years to everyone! I got into the LS yesterday and found a cracked fuel injector on cylinder 8. Hoping that fuel was leaking thru the injector and causing the issue. What do you guys think? I also noticed the passenger side spark plug holes had massive amounts of oil so I am changing the valve cover too. Then while removing the fuel rail I broke off the port piece to the fuel pressure sensor. Now the question is what type of fuel injectors and fuel pressure sensor should I get? I see a lot of choices on rock auto for both. I know for plugs and coils I go oem and I would go oem but if I can get away with aftermarket on these I will. Thank you for your help again guys.

Hey diplomat I think you posted in the Wrong thread. I figured out my problem ignition coil was going bad so I changed it and runs great. Happy ending :)
