So I'm back on the forums since I made up my mind about the ls. I put too much hard work and effort into her to let her go so soon so I decided to make her my winter car (yea yea i know rwd in snow etc...) I recently replaced the tranny and ever since I had problems with the dash showing E in park but working flawless in all other gears; however a few weeks later I lost park gear but all gears still work fine. No biggie since I can use the E brake but just annoys the living crap out of me. Now after tinkering around under her chassis  I discovered a wire pin was dislodged from it's groove in the connector block going to the PRNDL switch. After pushing it back in, the cluster reads P in park instead of E so that was one problem off my back. Now can anyone tell me why she wont go in park? We adjusted the shifter cable but she just wont catch into park. Is there another cable that should be adjusted?

The reason why I think it might be a cable is because after the tranny swap sometimes i would have to really push the shifter into park a few times for it to actually engage.

I'd love to have her back on the road with help from the forum.

btw the trans was swapped from a gen 1 00 v6 with 90k and was personally tested by me to ensure all is well; which at the time Park was working.

Good set of winter tires, and, if you're a little crazier....studs, this car is just as good as my other front wheel drive cars in the snow. I think I'm a good reference for this, hell, since we make the stuff up here.

i need to fix my rear suspension first. I'm creaking and bottoming out like a ghetto hotel bed at 2 in the morning. Thanks Joegr for the service guide, I'll take a look at that in a few days. Luckily I passed inspection before I was greeted with my next task as my CEL emitted a few hours later for P0401; what do I need to change here?
