I've never seen one that wasn't a real pain. I've even had to cut them off with a grinder right behind the fittings so I could get a socket on them. I've also had to do that and use heat to get them out of the exhaust manifold. But that, along with some good penetrating oil, has always worked. If the car is fairly new, it should be a lot easier.
By the way...do yourself and the next guy a HUGE favor!! Use anti-seize on the fittings when you put it back together!!!
