So this winter I got a SMOKIN deal on a gen 1 LSE body kit for my car and I jumped on it. I've had most of it on for a bit now and honestly there are two VERY different looks.

Stock (Sport bumper):

She has a more boxy front, but with the mach 1 it is also very much more aggressive looking. It has more of the attitude you might expect from a 4-500 hp v8 car

LSE:

The lines are much cleaner. The fogs and grill are more refined. She almost looks more BMW than anything and to have the sound and power of a V8 seems out of place.

here are some pics of each installed.

I guess I'm looking for some input. I am going to need to modify different things depending on which way I go. For example, with the stock and the mach 1 I want some more aggressive wheels, probably a set 18's with some 285/295's in the rear.

Stock bumper for sure. I think the gen1 LSE looks goofy. However Gen 2 LSE all the way no doubt!

I think the lip on the stock bumper really adds a nice touch.

The sport does look better, which suprises me because I like the LSE bumper. Weird. Stick with the sport and send me the LSE ;)

The LSE for sure. Black with black wheels. WOW!!!!!!!!! HOT!!!!!!!!!

Yea go with the stock and send me the Lse kit. They look better on the silver cars anyways lol. Makes them look more classy.

Hmm, I think with the spoiler and more prominent fog lights the stock one does look more agressive than the lse.

i like the LSE kit the best, and if you ever wanted to sell the other ones let me know

Stock. The black takes away contrast between the lines of the LSE. I can barely see any of the cool distinct lines on it. I like the LSE, both gens but on your all black I say stick with the sport and figure out something to spice it up.

I've wanted to do the mach 1 chin spoiler for a while now, but am afraid that it will look dumb on a non-black vehicle. Suppose I could go get that cheaper one from home depot to try out first?

Sully, I like both on your car. But doesn't it seem like the gen 1 LSE bumper is really short? Kinda looks like it in the pictures. If it was about 2 inches taller (to push it lower to the ground) I'd be all for it.

i think youd be the first to do a mach 1 spoiler on the silver birch.... i dont know how it would look though.

So what did you say?

About which one I like better? it's tough. I think the sport has the slight advantage, but only because of the mach 1 spoiler.

I really like the LSE look but the mach 1 look witht he stock bumper does look mean. My opinion is the LSE but it looks good either way.

I like the LSE on there. Any like everyone else before me, I'm interested in whichever one you decide to get rid of :D

im confused... they'd both be black with black wheels or are you saying you like it as is?

The LSE kit REALLY looks HOT in black. On your ride with the black rims. WOW!!!!!!

Stock in black or any color doesn't do it for me like the LSE kit does.

Does that help? :D

If you put the LSE bumper on, then you've gotta match it with side skirts. IMO. Oh, City of Nashua is asking about there missing recycle bin.

stock ftw that lip just fits it much better and yeah those rims don't really look that good with the front look of the car im just wondering have u ever though about tinting your headlights and fogs to black

I'm going LSE, not that the pics you show look very good, but because with the lower grill opening trim and the lights installed I think it would be great.

I agree with Pektel. The LSE bumper looks short, and the sport bumper has a slight edge w/ the mach 1 spoiler.

Is the LSE only primered? It looks like it's flat black... Which may be taking away from the look a little bit because you really can't see any of the lines on it. This is the cdc LSE right? Did you get the mesh upper or lower grille with it? I think with that lower mesh and the fogs in it might show better. I have the same kit that's been sitting in my garage for 2 years now while I've been contemplating different paint ideas for my LS  BTW what's up with the doll house?
