Is it safe to leave the headlamp switch fully to the right? meaning the position where you would be able to run the headlights during the day. i did today by accident and it didn`t kill the battery. the only thing it did was turn the headlamps on when i hit the unlock button on my remote. i actually like that though, and i always wished that the lincoln could do that like my wifes deville.

so is this something that you guys do on a regular basis? or not. just wondering. my final question if you guys know anything about this is how long would it stay on for in this case. thanks..

jace.

I think it stays on for 45 or 15 minutes, I am sure about though. Well if you do it on regular basis then your light will be on almost all the time on "regular basis".

Just leave em alone man.

i was just wondering man... cause i mean if it does stay on for even 15 mins ,thats too long or even 5 mins would be too long in my opinion. i was kinda hoping it was like the 3 mins or so like the longest auto delay setting.. just checking man because i kinda liked how the whole area was illuminated blue from the 8000k bulbs i got in the lowbeams. it caught a few peoples attention too... mine also :-s oh well..guess it was a once in a lifetime event. just had to ask the question.

well, i have done this on two occassions. The first time the lights did go off about 15 minutes after i got out of the car, however the foglamps did not. I once left it on for a period of about 4.5 hours. Again the foglamps did not turn themselves off but the headlamps did. I did not have a problem with the battery! I wish i could leave them on all the time as well, but i dont think its such a good idea
