2003 Lincoln LS 3.9 V8 with the Xenon HID headlights

I'm going to add a HALO kit to my headlights but besides the fact that they are looking a bit worn, they have a small crack here and there around the edges which has lead to condensation fog and water.. So I don't want to bother taking these apart to add the kit and clean them up as the same will keep happening.. I don't want to have to buy these headlights brand new as the only place I'm seeing that I can get them is from a dealer and the prices I've seen range from $1000 to over $2000 each :shifty: I have seen them on ebay for about $300 to $400 each but I risk buying more of the same.. I'm not having much luck online either as I cant find any headlights that fit my 2003 LS! Can someone please point me in the right direction?! I like the original headlights but I'll also go for some decent aftermarket projector lights,etc.. Please help!

There is no aftermarket. Only original factory headlights are made for this car (gen II). There are actually a few on eBay that look decent for less than 300. Just make sure they are hid.

Even used the hid housings retail for quite a bit.

well if you are going to be cutting them open for halos, you could always buy a cheap set of standard halogens with great lenses, then cut them up too and just use the lenses out of the halogens and discard the housing and reflectors...

Thank you all for the reply.. buying the cheap halogen lights and using the lenses sounds like a plan.. I'll make sure to post before/after pics when i'm done.

while that is probably the most cost effective route, there is going to be one major part of the job that will be a pain in the ass and will absolutely need to be near perfect for this to come out right.

when you cut the two sets of lights apart, your cuts will need to be as close to exactly the same for each side (left to right lights doesn't matter but each left light and each right light) other wise the new donor lense wont fit the old housing right and you won't get a good seal...

take your time, plan it out good and make all the marks, also think about what your gonna use to make the cuts. you may want to think about getting (or borrowing) a special tool. dremels work, but most blades tend to melt more than they cut...

take your time and do it right, any you'll probably have a real nice set of lights for a fraction of the cost of a new set.

Took out both headlights today and inspected them thoroughly before I started ordering parts... My driver's side is good to go, even the ballast looks brand new...no corrosion anywhere,etc.. as for my passenger side, I'm just going to order a solid used assembly off ebay rather than go the halogen route.. I'll be ordering the Umnitza LED Angel Eyes along with new Morimoto bulbs.. I'll post before/after pics when all done.. Thanks for the reply!
