OK. I have searched this and found a topic related but no resolution was posted. Both lowbeams go out last night at the same time. High beams work and fogs work but not both at the same time. Fogs will go out when you switch to highs. 40 miles on highs and fogs wasn't much fun. Anybody have this problem. Both low beam fuses are good. Relay for this perhaps ? Thanks in advance.

Lincoln designed the electrics of the fogs to turn off when you switch to the highs. Because Highs are exactly what you don't want to have on when your in fog.

I don't have all the electrical schematic knowledge, but I'm sure that a fuse probably blew or something to that effect. I'm sure someone will chime in.

Well, it may be that both lows when out at the same time. You can check the fuses for the low beams. Check the fuse panel located in the passenger side footwell compartment. You need to check fuse number 9 and 11. 9 is the right front low beam fuse and 11 is the left front low beam fuse. If both are good then it is the bulbs. Just take them out and see if the filament is blown.

Both my dims went out at exactly the same time a few weeks ago. Seems odd, but it happened.

That must be going around... both my license plate lights went out at the same time last week. Replaced them both and they are working fine...

Thanks for the responses guys. Hard to believe but both bulbs at the exact same time. Thats what lead me to believe it was something else. Pulled the bulbs and lo and behold both were shot. Had to get some Phillips Cool Blue because thats all they had but they won't stay in long.
