I know it's kind of a pain to put the new headlights on the older models if you're wanting the HID's, but what about if I use the regular halogen lights instead? Wouldn't they just fit right in without any or much problem? I thought the main reason people thought it was hard and expensive was because they converted to HID's along with it.

Also, does anyone have any pictures of the 00-03 headlights with the amber lense removed? I was curious what it looked like without the clear lense in place of it.

Thanks

If you are talking about 'clear corners' in the pre-03 - many of us have done this mod. you still have to put an amber bulb (or one that turns amber when lit) in there to be legal.

yeah I was wondering about the clear corners. some people put the clear lense in place of the amber one where you just removed the amber one. I like it the way your is the best. I think it would be cool though to paint that area black like the rest of the headlight trim is.

I don't think there is THAT much of a difference between the 00-03's and the 04's+ headlights to spend so much to switch them.

The different headlight years are 2000-2002 and 2003+ FYI.

The 2000-2002 ones look dated, IMO... but I'm sure your average Joe wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Agreed. I never noticed a difference until I started shopping for an LS and was comparing the differences between the years. I prefer the 03+ headlights, especially if they are HIDs :)

So what's the verdict on retro fitting then 03+ headlights on my 2000 if I'm not converting to HID's? Will I still need to buy other parts or would it be a direct fit?

Thanks
