Hey Everyone. I have been reading posts about removing the yellow turn signal lense.

I have a 2002 ls and I have been wanting to remove them for a while. I dont know how to tell if my glue is grey or black. The one has a grey glue all around the outside, it looks like the previous owner may have resealed it himself. I put one of the lights in the oven tonight at 250 degrees for 10min and tried to pull it apart and had no luck. But I may not have been pulling at the right parts.

If anyone can tell me EXACTLY how to tell what kind of sealent I have, and the steps I need to make to remove the yellow lenses and then put it all back together, that would be great.

I really appreciate it.

I am also looking to put a hide-a-way strobe kit in my car (I work for a police department and I am a volunteer firefighter as well.) If anyone knows how to do this in the headlights and tail lights I would love to hear from you!

have 2 flatheads handy, and purhaps an exactoblade, preheat the oven at 350 and settle the light in there for 3.5 mins to start, pull out and slowly pry the edges, easiest to start along the corners-short ones so sides, place back in there for 3 mins or so, and try some more, once you have it pryed out far enuff to get the blade in there, slowly cut the glue as u continue to pry... u may need to insert the light into the oven a multiple times but keep a steady eye on it, as when i was doing one of mine, i made the mistake of FORGETTING about it for a few mins to much and melted my lence slightly lol! but yes, it will take some work and some serious time comsuming prying to do it right, hope this helps
