Sorry I havent been able to keep up, I dont have time to search through all the threads... War is hell! But my wife is trying to get our car safety inspected and they said our headlights are too dim. Of course it's a 93 Mark VIII. What was the last word on those new headlights that someone was trying to get, I think they were the projector beams or something?? Any help would be appreciated.

On a side note, I convoyed through Fallujah the other day, saw a couple of Nicer Caddilacs, and one Continental. Rest of the cars are garbage. I didnt have my camera with me, maybe next time.

No new news on those -

I dont know why their dim speciffically - if the lenses are scratched, have her take the car to a detailer and have them polished. New bulbs might help as well.

Hey, I'll do what I can to get the info to ya. Props to all America's Warfighters, I owe you my freedom, there for my life. Thank you, you may be there but you are here every minute of the day in our hearts and prayers.
Trash butt over there, then we'll all come visit you in Hawaii real soon!
With the greatest appreciation and respect, Thank you
GOD BLESS AMERICA

I have a 96 from Florida. The lenses were sand blasted so I took them out and sanded them with fine grit and then polished them with a buffer. How is the silver reflective inside. If thats gone you need new lenses. :Bang

Moholo. Or hang loose!!

This should give you all the info you need...

Two things:

Get polishing discs from Autozone. Box of 6 for $10.00. Use a little water per instructions, attach to your drill, and buff the heck out of them. Worked on my left lens.

See this article:

Then go to danielsternlighting.com and read his instructions and schematics here:

Then check out this thread:

Somewhat cheap alternatives that should work wonders.

Remember guys - his wife will be doing the work - he is in Iraq - Hence why I said to take it to a detailer. Im assuming she doesnt know how to do the things you guys are talking about....

Just the polishing and sanding should help a little, maybe a lot if they're really yellow. She could probably do that.

Greetings from Iraq! Everything is good here, it's hot as the pits of hell. It's definitely not what I expected, much nicer. I have A/C in my ROOM and at work... I'll post pics when I get more time and bandwidth. Just found out my wife replaced (with a little help from the neighbor) the alternator and did the coil spring conversion. Boy am I proud of her!! And all this days from our 10th anniversary. Well, back to the war... I miss my car!!!!

So theres no word on the projector lights, like the european ones that were pictured? She can do it, but she complains about having to do that stuff.... Thanks for all the prayers and kind words. I'll keep checking back from time to time to see what's new
