can anyone tell me the easiest/cheapest way to do get/or fix this problem myself without sacrificing a quality job? it apparently was the adhesive that stuck to the cardboard type material that is glued to the velcro strips.

liner

yeah, but how do you get the thing down to replace them all? and also, couldn't I just add a different adhesive to the existing strips, becaus ethe velcro is still attched to each other, just not the board.

What is the problem?

liner

the damn headliner has fell from the velcro strips. The strips are still attached to each other, just the part that attaches to the board.

Mine was loose at the rear by the center stop light. There is a TSB on my '03 that covers this, but I corrected the problem by putting new larger velcro strips and also gluing it to the headliner and stoplight housing. This worked beter than just sticking the halves to each surface. Even though I had cleaned both the headliner panel and the stoplight panel they kept pulling loose. Gluing each half solved that problem.

Where????? Everywhere? Or just in a certain spot?

There is a known issue in the 2003+ models about the headliner falling down near the high mount brake light. As Smokey mentioned, there is a TSB for this.

ok, my car is an 00", so I have to have it done or do it myself, and seeing that I am a student the latter sounds a helluvalot better. Anyway, yes, the entire board has fell, and I know nothing about taking this stuff apaprt, thats why I asked if it can be done by self or do I have to to get soomeone else to do it, and where might the best place to do it be?

You may want to consider is taking the car to a local upholstery shop. They are probably familiar with headliners and how to attach them.

I have an '04 and noticed the other day that my liner is loose near the 3rd brake light. Where would I look for the TSB on this item? Is that something I have to ask the dealer about?

thanks for the input,

The dealer should know about it already. Is your car still under warranty? If so, mention it to the service advisor on your next service and let them fix it.

yeh i have an 01 and my headliner is coming loose and falling down i'll try to see if this upholstry place down tha street can fix it for cheap.
