headrest problem

I need some serious help to remove my headrest in my Lincoln Towncar '02. I tried everything but it looks like they are attached somewhere inside the seat (there is no release button). The local Lincoln dealer told me they could get them out for about $ 140 and they need to take the whole seat apart !!! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry I can't help you with that. BTW why do you want to take them off?

you have to stick like a tiny screw driver in there...like the ones for glasses....and pry out the little jaw like peices that hold it in...then they come right out....before putting them back in...push those lil plastic peices back together or else your headrest will come right out!!!
