A few questions about Gen2 Marks:
1. Were heated seats an available option for the 97 base?
2. did all Gen2 marks come with traction control or was that an option too? a 97 Base I'm looking at, has no traction control button on the dash.
3. was Ivory an available color in 98? and were the perforated leather seats, just available on a 98?

I'm looking at a Black 97 base with an ivory interior to buy soon. a local guy wants to scrap it and I think I have talked him out of it.
I would be getting it for a pretty decent price.
it has a few things that need work. i.e.: non working neon. headliner falling down.
he says it needs front end work as in ball joints etc. no leaks he says. car is drivable and tranny is good. needs some paint work as the black has gotten a little patchy.
says he gets 20mpg with it.

1. Heated seats were an option on all Mark VIIIs for gen 2, even for the base models.

2. All gen 2 Mark VIIIs have traction control, except it is not a button like the gen 1. You have to go on driver settings to deactivate it and it is all speed traction control unlike the gen 1 which was only low speed traction control.

3. Ivory was available for both the 97 and 98. Perforated seats were only on LSC models for 97 and 98.
