hey yall its been awhile since ive been on, i just have a noob question. my heater control valve is stuck open and the dealership explained that its not covered with my warranty plan. my warranty plan states that a heater control switch is covered but no electrical problems are covered. so do you think that the heater control switch is the same as the heater control valve on a ls? i really appreciate it just in a cluster f@#@ with this and dont really want to touch my car untill my warranty is over!

Nope, the DCCV is a pair of solenoid valves, not a switch.

just buy the part, and swap it out, its not going to mess with your warranty unless you f@#% something up real bad, and its not really expensive.
