LS Vegas V8
New LVC Member
Hello all. This a great site. I learned a lot about the LS from this forum before I even bought the car. Reading posts here help me make my decision whether to buy it or not. Based on info from you guys I bought it from just seeing pictures (didn't drive it,didn't see it in person) and was ready to pay more for it than I did. It's a 2002 Lincoln LS V8 Sport 92K miles in great condition. Body is straight and the interior is clean. I got it at a steal (at least I think so) for 3,300.00
I purchased it in December 2011 and have had the usual problems..clock spring,passenger window regulator and condensation in the front right headlight. I think whomever had the car before I, must have had some work done to the coils and plugs because that area seemed to be more clean than the rest of the engine bay...like it had been freshly worked on and some of the screws weren't as tight as they should be. The engine cover is missing but that's ok because I already bought one off of eBay for 29.00 bucks. It looks brand new but there was only one of the screws on it to mount it. If anyone knows where I can buy the other 2 I would appreciate it.
I have a few questions about bushings and the suspension as well that I can't find the answers to by searching. I have the sport package and I want to know can I just replace the bushings alone or do I need to replace accompanying parts with them? Also would changing out those parts result in a smoother ride? I don't want to put in smoother riding shocks on a car that wasn't made for them.
