New LVC Member
I inherited my mothers 2005 V6 LS in 2010. I sold it to a friend in early 2011 with about 22,000 miles on it. Well a few months ago I had to repossess the car. It now has about 86,000 miles and needs a lot of TLC. I don't understand how some people don't take care of their cars.
A few weeks ago the car over heated when I was driving to work. I pulled the thermostat and water pump, they both looked fine.
So I go and do a goggle search Lincoln LS overheating and BAM LVC popped up, check the degas bottle. You guys saved the day, many thanks to everyone here! I ended up replacing the degas bottle, the upper radiator hose with the plastic manifold / air bleed port (it had a hairline crack) and the thermostat. I have been driving the car for 3 days now with just water and super flush in it. I'm going change the lower hose after I complete the flush, everything looks good.
