Ah boy, where do I begin?
Name: Kid (well for the site it is. )
Car: 02 Lincoln LS8
Location: Virginia (757)
Well, first I'll say that I am a Mopar Nut. I've owned 2 Dodge Chargers in the past. So I'm not newb to the mechanic, car, or high parts value world.
Now, that's out the way.
Desperate for a car and something affordable I began my search. I browsed the net for cars under 500, then 600, next 700, and finally 1000.
BOOM.
The Lincoln LS popped up.
Wait, a Lincoln LS? What the heck is that?
So I stare at the car in the pictures and do some research.
I find out that it was created in 00 and stopped in 06.
Well alrighty then.
The car looks good to my eye, not to jagged, not to bulky.
The car was in horrible condition tho. The seats were torn, and the wheels were slashed. The seats, panels, floor, roofing, steering wheel, trunk, spare tire, and etc had mold as well.
However, I was HIGHLY desperate for a car, so I was determined to fix it.
So, I drive 40 mins to the destination of the car...
I arrive at the car and it won't start...
The window is off track which means when it rained and snowed, it just fell in the car.
The chrome on the bumper was coming off but I pushed it back in..
The tires were all slashed.
The guy selling the car stated "I know nothing about the car. I just wanted the wheels on the car and the lady made me buy the car whole. I brought the car here, the wheels wouldn't fit on my BMW, so I let it sit."
That's a great way to sell a car right?... Lucky I was desperate.
Anywho...
I put the key in, turn it over, and it doesn't start.
It just cranks continuously but doesn't turn over.
So we try the carb fluid down the throttle. Gives it a little pep, but nothing to make it turn over.
So after doing that for two days and research when I left the car, I let it go.
