Hello everyone, I'm Adam Johnson, and I live in Grass Valley, California. I have a 94 Mark VIII, an 82 5.0 Black Magic Capri, and an 88 Toyota Supra Turbo. I have a couple questions about the Mark...
So far I have not found a satisfactory fix for the chrome strip that runs all the way around the car. Short of replacing the bumper covers and mouldings with newer LSC parts, does anyone know of a repair/replacement for the peeling chrome?
Secondly, my car does not have traction control. According to the factory wiring diagrams, the traction control appears to consist of the switch, the wiring to the switch, the antilock computer, and the antilock unit under the hood. Would adding/changing these parts be all that it would take? As everyone knows, the open differential/32-valve combo is totally ridiculous!

dont waste the time it would take to add traction control, it would be faster and easier to install a trac lock and some 3:73's or 4:10's to make you really happy. as far as the chrome moldings there is a company who makes perfect replica moldings for the mark VIII. search or maybe google.

I'll check with Lincoln Auto Parts.
As far as the traction control goes... I've wondered if I would get the best grip with a limited-slip alone, or with a limited-slip and traction control together? Probably not worth the trouble, but I'm curious.

The traction control simply applies the brake.
I've never found tapping the brake to aid in my acceleration.
If you're investing the money, just get the limited-slip.
