Does anybody have a wire diagram for the charging system? The middle (black) wire on my regulator is missing I need to know where it goes. thanks.

it doesn't go anywhere.
it's 3 wire plug, but only the two outside wires do anything.

Okay, that's what it looked like.
I cant get this new alternator to work. With the 3 wire plug in and the car running im not getting any voltage off the terminal. Any ideas?

bad voltage regulator.
failed diode plate / rectifier bridge.
bad rotor. bad coil.
is it a reman alternator? cuz most of them suck.

It is a reman but I had it tested and it worked fine... The old alternator I had in the car was over charging 17-18 volts in the car but when it was tested at the parts store it only pulled 11 volts.

i would take it back and have them replace it.
