Alright, I need tires on my stock rims. I have narrowed it down to these three contenders. Of the three which is the best tire? Please only stick to these, I am set on one of these three. All of them have pretty good reviews. I don't go to the track or anything. I want something safe in the rain/snow, decent tread life and quiet as well. Anyone have any of these?

Dunlop SP Sport Signature A/S High performance 122 each

Goodyear Eagle GT A/S High Performance 120 each

Kuhmo Ectsa Platinum LX A/S Gran Touring 127 each

I just bought the Dunlops a month ago and I love them. No comparison between the Sport Sigs and the stock crap Michelin's. Dunlop hands down!

I had Ecstas on my stock rims, were pretty damn good, wayy better than my Nittos in the rain thats for sure..

Cool, thanks for the replies guys and keep them coming! I have been putting this off for a while, the original tires have almost 63,000 miles on them. In this case I really am cutting it close, but I need to get them before it starts to snow...

I wouldn't go with any of them on my LS, but if you're set on one of the three, I've always had good luck with Dunlops on previous cars. I don't know Kumhos, but you couldn't give me a set of Goodyears. I know Quik has run Goodyears, but my luck with them has been pretty much uniformly bad.

Dunlops for sure.

Goodyears no way. They have crap for tire wear. Even worse for traction.

I have had all 3 on my cars. Kuhmos on my sebring goodyears on my town and country, stock michelins on my lincoln n now
The dunlops on my 20s. So far dunlops are my favorite in wet and dry roads as they are incredibly sticky compared to the others.
The kuhmos were ok nuttin crazy. Goodyears wear reeaaaallll quick and are kind of noisy. They were brand new takeoffs off of a 300c and didn't have too much grip.
The stock michelins weren't too good but they did have some wear on them wen I got the ls. I haven't tried the dunlops in snow but I am going to get the same tires for my stock rims
And will see how they do. If I were to buy tires they wud either b dunlops bridgestone pirelli falken bfgoodrich and few others. Depends on wut kind of tire and if u r using them correctly.

I have almost 10k on my goodyears with liltle to no wear. great dry traction, great wet traction...good traction on slush, but usless in snow.

the tires are very quiet and have a neat tread pattern...when the sun comes up, i'll take a pic. I think they are gt's or gt+3 or somthing. I also think they were around 150 a tire, although this was a year ago.

I can only compare them to the stock firehawks that were on this, so no help for the other brands.

Thanks for the pics and more replies. For those that are suggesting other tires, I am just not willing to spend almost 800.00 on tires for stock 17" rims. My goal has been for a while now to buy a larger (probably Jag) set of wheels for summer and run my stocks in the fall and winter so I wanted something that wasn't crap but was still attainable bfore Christmas. Most people are suggesting the Dunlops which was my first choice anyway.
I may be coming to a final decision...
$510.00 to my doorstep for 4? Not bad?

Also Quik thanks for the guides, I used to get C&D monthly but haven't renewed my subscription yet :(. Anyway they all seem to be performance tires which is great, but I don't really need performance. The car is basically my stylish daily driver (which I occasionally hot rod around town a little). Just solid, reliable, good tread wear and no hydroplaining in normal rain (like the stock Michelins) and somewhat quiet is all I am really looking for.

I hear ya, mine were not bought online, but at a local tire shop, if the tire intrests you, prices may well be lower than the price was for me 14 months ago.

I went to Tires Plus to get mine, They were like $20 more per tire than Tire rack, but they got them same day and were overall like $15 or $10 cheaper. CALL AROUND! A lot of places will certainly match the delivered price if not sale price for tire rack. Tires Plus said they would beat delivered price by $10 and by god they did. Ended up with ~$135/tire Dunlop SP Sport Sigs 235/50/17

Wow Cracker Jack! I went to Tire Discounters and they pretty much told me that by the time I had them mounted, balanced valve stems and all that crap their price of like 180 each was actually cheaper! I didn't feel like arguing with them so I just left. I know sombody who owns his own shop so mounting and balancing will run me around 30-50 bucks I think. Were you out the door for 135 + tax a tire? Or di you have to have them mounted blah, blah, blah at Tires Plus?

wal-mart is the cheapest i have ever found.

I brought in my new chrome wheels to swap out with my grey's...36$ mounted balanced and out the door
