Help For Hurricane Victims "Please Donate"

Hello LvC,

This forum is for anyone who would like to help a local friend of mine (Danny) who is trying to help people stranded by the hurricane. What Danny is doing right now is collecting donations of bottled water, blankets, diapers, and pillows. He plans to leave tomorrow morning and head down south to deliver his supply of goods. I’ve talked to him about sending money to relief groups but he is very passionate about what he is doing and this is what he wants to do.

What I am asking of the LvC membership is to donate to my PayPal account. I am giving Danny my PayPal credit card to use on his trip. Your donations would help pay for his trip. (Gas, Food, and Lodging).

I have informed Danny to keep receipts of his use of my PayPal card and all money not used during the trip I would deposit into the PayPal account that PayPal has set up for relief.

This may not be the most efficient way of donating and I have talked to Danny about this but he is very passionate about what he feels he needs to do. Danny is from Alabama and feels a connection to those in need.

Again what I am asking is for anyone who would like to help Danny complete his mission please donate. Any $5, $10, or $20 donation would be appreciated.

wish someone had of posted this soon mand would have loved to get that free membership i just gave 45 dollars to the Donation threw my Temple

My wife is working with a local trucking company and FEMA to fill a Semi Trailer with Water, Blankets, Pillows, Dipers, and phone cards and other items asked for by the Relief organizations.

Once this trailer is filled The trucking company will donate their time and dirver to deliver the needed goods.

If anyone wants to donate to this cause they can send checks to:

Um how long you think till that truck will be filled um i could probly send a check in like 2 week that the next time im exspecting any more money right now maybe a week just wana put in the most i can

Don't worry - when you get the money if you want to donate just give it to the Red Cross or something like that who will need it.

This will take about a week to fill the Semi.

but anyways the reason why i like to
donate what ever i can is becouse
No Matter what ever happen i am not alowed to donate the one thing that is the most inportant thing i have

I have AB Negative
for those who dont know what that Means here it is since my spelling isnt good this is a Cut and past

AB Negative As an AB negative, you represent just .6 percent of the population, which places you in the rarest blood group. Your red cells can only be given to other AB negative and AB positive patients in need. However, your plasma can be given to any patients, regardless of blood type. We encourage you to consider donating plasma. Plasma donations take about 45 minutes, and the product collected is invaluable to the survival of burn patients, trauma victims, and patients with heart disease and cancer

Yes only .6 percent of the Population have AB negative Blood
Now you ask why i am not alowed to donate or give my blood her is why
I have had
Infectious hepatitis
becouse of that for some dam ungodly reason i am not able to donate my blood so i donate everything els that i can my time my help and when i have it money :)

i just dont understand why so many blood typs man
its like dyno oil compared to premium man
why can you start out with one kind and if you wana be stupid anought to change to a rear one that you can change back ok but come on you know what i mean
 
Here is Danny and his truck loaded with water.

Danny leave at Midnight 9/2/05.

An area Doctor has also given Danny a very large generous donation of emergency meds including insulin plus others.

His goal is to get to people we have contacts with in the Florida and Mississippi area who do Hurricane relief and will guarantee that his shipment will get to the people who need his small but generous shipment.

Any donation to my PayPal account will help with Danny's delivery.

Gas is going through the truck very fast. With the weight of the water they are getting about 5 miles per gallon.

While on a gas stop and elderly man came up to my friend and asked him what all the water was for. My friend told him what he was doing and the man relied bless you son and give him a folded bill then walked away. When my friend opend the bill it was a $100 bill.

The fuel fund is running very low. If anyone can help please donate to the the paypal account. Paypal is the fastest way to get money to Danny.

They have decided to take their shipment to Jackson Mississippi where they will turn it over to relief support in Jackson.

Other info on relief - My wife and two friends have arranged a semi truck to be filled with blankets, pillows, Diapers, water, toilet paper, phone cards, personal hygiene products, towels, wash clothes, books, playing cards games, and other items of need.

We have also listed our home as a refuge for one family. We have 2 spare bedrooms, and large finished basement that is set up like a living room with bath.
 
Rich did your friend make it back ok,and are starting to feel the heat my post count is starting to get closer to yours. :biggrin:

Ya, you post could is getting upt there but if I have to I can do a day of whoring LOL...

They are about 2 hours out right now... Shipment went to Canton Mississippi...

We now have a semi that we are filling. We are working with the FEMA program Project Hope and plan on sending it out but the end of the week.

My wife and I are also working with an attorney and our insurance co. to arrange a family to come and stay for a while until they can find a direction to go.

We are not real sure how this is going to go yet as we've never done anything like it. I know if we do take in a family we will be trying to find funding to help support this family...
