Hey guys, I had to do some work to the tail lights on my 95 today. Well, I got it all done except for plugging the harness at the left trunk hinge. I got distracted, and closed the lid before plugging that in, and now I'm locked out of the trunk.

I don't have the trunk key for it, nor do I know of anyway to get in to it. I can't take the rear seat out either due to the sub box taking up the front half of the trunk. Have you guys ever broken in to one of our trunks? I have a locksmith'n buddy, but I don't want to bother him to do it if I can help it.

Any ideas?

94m5...call your locksmith buddy...have him make you a key also...this can happen anytime the wiring harness in the trunk goes funny(which is VERY common on Gen 1's...trust me)

door key pad trunk release?

Same Situation, the harness is not connect so the only way in is via the lock cynlinder weather it be picking it or with a key it is the only way.

Dealership!!! They have a box of about a thousand keys at Pacifico Ford where I had to go to get into mine. The old coot who was to do the job tried one key and went for a bathroom break.

I fished thru about 40 keys and found the match to my lock. They made a couple of duplicates and took their key back, cost me about 40 dollars along with them programming a remote that went to my old sable. They have all their keys seperated, door keys and trunk keys.

Your locksmith friend should be able to get in very quickly, might even be able to make you a key.
