While changing my plugs and wires (troubleshooting a misfire on #2) on my 1997 continental, I accidentally leaned on a vacuum tube and a plastic t-connector snapped right off into 3 pieces. It is mounted under a plastic housing under the lip of the engine compartment right in front of the firewall. It connects on the engine to a flexible tube in the middle of the manifold, on the passenger side to a semi-rigid tube to a check valve of some sort, and on the drivers side to a module that has multiple connections labeled S (that's the one it connects to) B/R L E B/B. No surprise, it startes to die right after starting up.

What does this thing connect to on the motor? Does anyone know if I can get replacement T (what size is it) and can I get replacements for the semi-rigid vacuum tubes, since I am having a heck of a time getting the broken T-connector out of one.

I hate when my own clumsiness causes problems worse than what I started with.

I can't take any pictures right now, since (of course) I'm supposed to be headed out of the house. I'll have to pick it back up in the morning.

Well, still don't know what that ting is, but I managed to replace one hard line connected to a rubber line with a full rubber line, got a replacement for the T-connector, and cut off the other hard line going to the check valve and used a piece of the same hose to connect what was left of the hard line to the T-connector. Disaster averted, $10 in parts.

If its the one I am thinking of ,it has the check valve in line and it is for the climate control doors under the dash for your heater and a/c. Also in line with that somewhere is the vacuum canister.
