Help lincoln ls headlight lense

Can someone please help me out with figuring out how to get my 2001 lincoln LS headlights apart? I do have the grey glue but i am haviing a hard time getting it open.

This only applies to the 00-02 LS headlights. This will NOT work on the 03 and up headlights.

great article ken, thanks very much for that. saw a couple other less detailed how-to's out there but this one is really good. i need to do the same thing so cheers.
