HELP! locked keys in trunk!

well I stupidly locked my keys in the trunk and I did a search and found out that even I i get the car opened I still wont be able to get into the trunk. Well I was thinking that maybe I could open it with that number pad thing on the door, i dont know what its called but the thing is I dont have the code. I bought the car used. If I call the dealer ship would they give it to me? its an 03 LS V8
 
see if the dealership can code you another key fad, the pushbutton thing, without having to open the car. i think all lss can have them coded to pop open their trunk. only other thing is call a locksmith. bangin ls knows how to get you into your car the crooked way, pm him and see if he can help
 
You can get in the trunk with the keypad, but the dealer probably will not know the code.
 
If you know the code to your pad after you enter the code hit 5/6 it should open the trunk.
 
hey they cant reporgram the key fab without opening the door -- the control module has to be reseted and thats some where in the dash.
 
according to the manual the dealership should be able to give you the code its on the control module itself.
 
You can take the bottom portion of the backseat out then take the bolts out of the upper portion and crawl thru. It is a pain in the ass but I had to do it when the window tint guy killed my battery and I have a camera in the keyhole.

Worth a try if all else fails.

if you can get into the car why not press the trunk button next to the Gas lid button?

HAHAHA. I'm a dumbass. My battery was dead and the button would not work. Not a problem in this case.

Did not know batt was dead. Ever see a slim jim, a piece of banding? or coathanger?
 
well thank for all your help guys but I had a locksmith do it for me. they guy lives down the street and he only charged me 30 dollars.
 
Yeah, make sure you have at least two sets of keys. Have the dealer program a second key for you, then buy a blank and have it cut by a locksmith; you can then use the two keys to program the third. If you ever lose your only key, you're big-time screwed, because you'll have to have your car towed to a Lincoln dealership--they have to have the car to tell the computer about the new key. As long as you have two primary keys, you can program a third (there's also a valet key available, but I don't think it can be used for programming another key).
 
Why not just learn a simple 5 digit code, and that way you can use the door keypad to access your trunk next time you lock your keys in there, or you lock them in the car? It just sounds so much simpler to me... then again, I like simple uncomplicated things.
 
yea learn from this - go get the code its on the module or go to dealer they will tell you/find that out for u
 
Last time I checked, you could fold down the rear seats 03-04 from inside the car until they moved the rear seat release buttons to inside the trunk in 05.

I don't know which '04s you checked, but my '04 has the rear seat back releases in the trunk.

Paying the dealership $50 (or whatever they charge) to pull the code from the computer is a good idea, but that won't help if you lose or damage your only key. It's a lot less expensive to get the extra two keys now than to pay for towing and new keys later.
 
I didn't take the time to read all the posts but when I locked the keys to my '01 LS in the trunk all I had to do was get the door key code from the dealership and go to the local key shop and for $25 they made me a door key. From there I simply opened the door...and pushed the trunk unlock button. Wasn't a problem at all for me...
 
The keypad code on a lot of Ford products will be on one of the trunk hinges. That wouldn't have done you any good here. It can also be located on the module...which I think is in the driver's door.

The codes are not on the hinges of the LS (that's covered elsewhere). The manual indicates that the code is printed on "the computer," but it doesn't define which module "the computer" is, or where it's located. I've looked at my PCM (behind the glovebox) and at the DDM (Driver's Door Module, located, ironically, in the driver's door), and neither of them had a sticker, or anything else, with the code printed on it. There is a partial tag on the DDM, but it looks more like an assembly-line part code tag, not an access code.

So far, nobody who's looked (and posted about it) has found the code printed/written/etched/whatever on any of the computer modules. FWIW, the DDM is the easiest to check, at least on the '03-'06 LSes, because you can see it by simply removing the "control panel" (with the window controls, etc) on the driver's door.
 
On my F-150 it was under the dash, you could get the code with a flashlight. I just had surgery though so I am not going to verify.
