Hi guys,

You know I just started at Team Ford in Las vegas, moved from Signature L/M to remind a few of you. Well I have been put in charge of revamping our currently pathetic website www.teamford.com

What I have done is list 6 websites by 3 different companies that I think will do the best job. What I need you guys to do is evaluate these websites as an online consumer and vote for your favorite. Now takes all things into considertation.

Appearence
Ease of Use
Navigation
Options

Also note if you are on dial up or broadband.

If you have a site you think I should look at, let me know.

Also note in your post what you did and did not like about the sites I listed.

Thanks.

Come on guys, only 2 votes? I one of them is mine :waving:

Any ideas or repsonses? Do have a new car dealer site I should check out?

Bill,

I voted for Dealerskins since it seemed a little easier to move around in and the appearance is eye-catchy. The others were a little too bland or way over the top. In web design try to use the KISS method...Keep It Simple Stupid. I'll be launching my new website soon and that was the approach we took in designing it's use.

I would recommend that you have an area that you can order OEM parts online at a discount price. If you offer it to LvC members then have a special code or area for members to purchase from. This would drive more business your way.

I am already working in getting my catalog up and running. Hoping by the end of the week. I will be gicing the LvC members either a discount code, or free shipping. I have been talking to Joeychgo about this. I will be placing a banner and and I am trying to get approval for a button ad.

Ken, you may remember I used to have a catalog when I was at Signature.

I liked the Watertownford the best. Do they all have to have music or a narrator? I find it annoying but some might like that option.

No they do not have to have that stuff. That's why I wanted the input of the LvC. I may have an option to listen to our Sammy Hagar song. The owner is a good friend and they did a whole advertising thing with him. They have a song he wrote and are going to use it on the radio and TV. I tihnk I will just add a button that says "Watch/Listen to the Sammy Hagar video". That way it does not just come one with out your notice. Some people do this from work and people could here it.

I still need some input, so feel free to comment on what you think would work best on a site.

Yeah, as long as the music doesn't automatically play that sounds like a good idea. I liked Dealerskins best overall, except the music.
