I apparently only have the valet key (laugh, seriously)
My battery is dead, I can't open the trunk. I've tried finding posts on how to take the seats down or off and I wasn't able to find what I was looking for.

Is there anyone who can help?

There's a way to pry a seat back enough to get to its latch without doing too much damage. Use Google site search to look for it. Meanwhile, an easier way is to use one of those charger/jump-starter things that plugs into the power port in the dash. It should give your enough power to be able to use the interior trunk release.

Dear new member, I've done a search for you on this forum and the matter appears to have been covered before,
I managed to copy that content from that thread I searched for and it would be my pleasure to present it to you here in your new thread.

Hope this helps you,

this for the passanger side back seat that folds down. it is the single seat fold down.
this is what the machansim looks like with the cover on. You'll have to get behind this cover with your wire hanger or whatever you use.

this is what it looks like with the cover off the release cable pulls the lever from right to left. you'll have to push the part at the end of the cable to the left

sorry for the blur its cold out! this is how the cover attaches over the mechansim all you'll need to do is get past behind the small tab on the top to the right of the tab.

this is where the mechanism is in relation to the back dash and the baby seat latch thingy so you can get an idea where the mechansim is since it will be hidden by the seat.

be careful of the leather on the back of the seat but don't worry to much becuase it ends right below where you can see and turns into carpet.

i would do this by trying to trip the lever with the hanger or something while having someone pull fwd on the seat a little, and if that doesn't work after awhile maybe without the pulling. a regular wire hanger might bend too easy for this job, maybe something stronger.

i was able to trip this lever with the cover off I went in from the side rather than the top though. you'll have to go in behind the cover, I think this will be harder than I first thought, good luck. i think you will have to dig into the carpet a little to get behind the cover, it'll jam and pull but you should be able to push through without really damaging the carpet.

further more, directly underneath the splash guard in the front passenger wheel well is a red covered terminal post, you can jump some cable from another car onto this, catch a ground of the frame somewhere, this should provide instant power to your LS and you could simple then hit the trunk open button.

Good luck.

This place as of lately man! I tell ya ...

' ---thats your solution OP. i saw one of those chargers at walgreens for 5 bucks the other day. alternatively a solar panel in the sun could probably do it too.

I'll speak for the use of the power port. I paid a premium for an Optima battery that was soon a PIA. I had several instances of having to use the power-port-link in order to make it home before finally dumping the battery and getting a new one. No trouble since then.

You can go to any auto parts store and get the gizmo that goes into the socket instead of the lighter. I used one of them and simply hooked up a battery charger in order to activate the trunk. Throw the gizmo in your glove box and, with jumper cables available, you'll always be prepared.

^ unless of course you dumb dumb locked your keeps in the glove box, try explaining that with a straight face to triple A.
