Does anybody know if to replace the upper control arm on the passenegers side of a 1996 Lincoln Mark 8, if you need to adjust the air bag for the suspension to get the bolt out? I can tell it is aligned to get in the way just not sure if those bolts are long enough to where it would warrant removal

You just need to unclip the sensor from the arm, you don't need to adjust/touch the lower bracket for it at all...

Tip: When loosening the ball joint bolt at the top of the knuckle, take the bolt FULL out. Loosening it will not work, the knuckle is grooved so even when loose the bolt will prevent separation. A design feature incase it loosens up on accident.

You are going to have to deflate the bag and remove the three nuts holding the top of the shock to the fender in order to pull the top of the bag down and out enough to be able to remove the UCA pivot bolts. Do this after you've removed the bolt and nut holding the UCA ball joint to the spindle and seperating the UCA from the spindle.
