I recently installed the CAI in my 02 LS V8 and after it was done i took it for a little spin and at first it didn't seem to be downshifting right to me, for example if you go WOT from a rolling start it didn't seem to be dropping into first and it would lesiurely climb to redline then shift. So i pop the hood and look at a few things make sure everything is connected was afraid maybe the TPS wasn't reading properly and didn't find anything really so i put the hood down and went again. This time i put it down and it still didn't downshift like i expected but then i let off and to my horror the engine didn't stop revving. I luckily killed the car and pulled it over to find the throttle stuck at WOT, i start driving the car home try it again and it got stuck again. So now i drove it home much more leisurely and inspected the throttle for a little while but it's still the same, you can go to like 70% or so and it'll pop back but it's like it hits a point and when it goes over it just sticks. Any help is much appreciated.

Did you make sure that there wasn't inside the CAI tube when you installed it? There may be something lodged in the throttle body. Check that first. Also, is there anything causing the throttle body to stick? Did you leave a tool on the engine bay and forget to get it?

You got pics?

I can pull it apart and double check inside tomorrow as well as take some pics with my camera. There's nothing outside the tube that's for sure ive looked that over really well. It doesn't feel like something blocking it it feels like more of a binding like someone suggested, what do i do to resolve this?

clean the cable linkage real good. another thing. don't the ls's have a PLASTIC throttle body? I could be wrong, I thought they did. If you WAY overtorqued down the intake tube to the throttle body you may have deformed it enought to cause the throttle plate to bind up. just another guess.

Well im the idiot on this one, the rubber insert inside the coupler was pushed out of place and was blocking the throttle as well as making one hell of a power robber. With that out it feels amazing, truly is a great product.
