HELP!!! Rear bumper question.

Hey guys...

My goal was to have the dual exhaust cut outs.

I have an 02 LS that I've Installed a 05 LSE rear bumper on...the dumb ass that I am never checked to see if the truck lids were the same. When I went to shut the truck I noticed that the license plate bezel hits the bumper. any ideas other then replacing the truck lid? I checked with dealer and the told that the quarter panel's were different also, which leads me to believe that replacing the truck lid may also not be the answer. I can already see that by just ordering the license plate bezel for an LSE is not going to work as the truck lids are different. Do they make a bezel that will fit my application?

Sorry man, but the only way to get it right is to replace the trunk lid and license plate surround with the newer gen 2 style. I don't think you need to do quarter panels.

Your only other option is to shave your trunk and eliminate the license plate surround altogether. That doesn't look very good though.

Or, you could put your gen 1 bumper back on, and just cut the holes yourself like I did:

insurance paid someone rear ended me so i made the most of it, you can look up the prices at any of the vendors sites on the right.
