Help With 2000 lincoln ls

i just got this car and the check engine light went on. i scanned the car with a snap on obd2 scanner. it say cylinder 2 miss fire. would changing the coil pack on cylinder 2 fix this.

but the scanner said missfire on cylinder 2 if anyone knows if the coil pack on cylinder 2 would be swaped out would it fix the problem

Maybe, more than likely you have oil on the coil boot and if you do you will need to replace the Valve cover gasket.

Do a search on VC gasket and you will see tons if you have any question after reading them post back in one of those. There is also a tech document put together by a fellow LvCer that should help you as well.
