Help with my car!

I have a 1993 Lincoln Mark8
Since I've gotten it its been a lot of trouble, but one thing is that its been running like a champ. Recentley I ran into a lot of trouble though. In 1 day the driver window stopped rolling up and down, the passenger window fell off the tracks and fell completley in the door, the front breaks went out, the center console clip broke so now it stays open, when i went to get out of my car my driver door was stuck so i climbed over to passenger and when i shut the passenger door.. the window shattered. Soo within a week the window and breaks will be fixed, then the rest is up to me.. what should i do? i mean it has 115,000 miles on it.. but it runs great. What I really need is some headlights because they are soo weak the ones it came with and no matter where i look on the internet i cannot find them..

dont think i can help with the other things but as far as the lights go you cant do anything with the lights you have now the simple solotion is to get hid's wich are lke 5 to 6 hundred dollaes perside or the cheaper way is to replace with brand new halogen housings wich you can ge betwen 200 or 250 $ what it is these cars have high beam lights in both low and high side (9005) and after all these years the heat burns the reflective inside i had the same prob and didnt have 1200$ so i got the halogens and it is a huge difference at night time hope i answered the light issue for you

Mark VIII's have their issues as will any car of it's age. The one thing that is very dependable is the engine... if cared for and not abused..

I have 138K, 146K, and 204K on my 3 Mark VIII's... I would take anyone across country...

Like I said it all in up keep.

Window motors will burn out... they are not that hard to replace... and you can get the motors off eBay..

Console lid.. Many owners make slight adjustments on the latch to help it stay closed. It's an issue. My suggestion is to search bone yards for one with a working lid and take the latch off it. You can find them sometimes on eBay. Or www.car-parts.com .

Headlights are a problem.. only solution are new or newer lights. The problem is that the bulbs burn too hot and burn off the reflective backing there for no reflection or very poor reflection... New one will cost around $250... If you want the best get HIDs but they will cost a lot more. Cleaning the lens or putting in different bulbs will not help.

I'm not sure on the door but I'm guessing the mechanism which works the latch is stuck or broken. If you can get the door open you can fix it or find out what's wrong by taking the door panel off.

The good news is you haven't mentioned any engine. tranny, or suspension problems so in my opinion you car is in good shape... fix the little things....

Mark VIII's are great cars but they do require some work. As long as you don't mind fixing the small issues that come up the car will last you many years yet.
