Hi,
I have a 2002 Lincoln LS, v8, automatic, 100k miles. It has a slow transmission fluid leak (I find a few couple drops under it after it has been parked). I would appreciate any help in identifying where the leak is coming from, and approximate cost to have repaired.

Thanks in advance.

You are going to have to follow it to where it is coming from...we cannot really see anything in the picture. It could be oil coming from a different location, too.

That's where mine is leaking from and I was told it was the torque converter seal/front seal

Did you get a quote or have it fixed? if so, how much did it cost?

It is definitely transmission fluid. Thanks for the diagram. I'll see if I can trace it back further.

i called a few shops around my area and they were saying they would replace the seals and whatever other parts that needed to be changed (like rubber parts and such) for $800+. the seal itself cost me less than 15 bucks. just wish i could find a shop to put the seal in the trans

Got my leak fixed. It was the front seal. Cost $595. Thanks for the help.
