hesitation at 3000 RPM

hello LS Owners! i have a question. my LS hesitates at 3000 rpms, is this normal it does it at idle. i can sit and rev the gas and at 3000 rpms it starts to hesitate? any suggestions on why this happens? is there a govener on it for safty reasons are is this a problem? thanks Girty :wrench sorry its a 2000 Lincoln LS V6 with about 91,000 on it.
 
in park or neutral the limit is 3000rpm. You can remove this with the SCT XCalibrator.

OU sucks! lol my sisters live in round rock! what is that computer called that the guys at autozone use to check the warning light and to reset it? how can you get the computer to reset with out one of those watchamicllit(hand held computer things) LOL and i wrecked the LS before and the airbag light stays on can that be reset? SCT XCalibrator where can i get this?

autozone has a ODBII tool that can pull the generic code that is the reason behind the light on, and potentially reset it. You can clear it yourself by disconnecitng the battery for 10mins.

But if there is a real problem - the light will just come back on. If it does - there are several threads on how to troubleshoot it and potentially how to fix it.

the XCal is for tuning and performance.
 
And the Supplemental Restraint System is nothing to be screwing around with yourself. That one is best left for someone who is skilled and knowlegable with SRS systems. Otherwise, you could see a big BOOM and get your neck broken!!

I remember seeing a tech set off a set of bags in the shop once while he was working on the car under the dash and another tech was under the hood. He was very, very lucky he wasn't in the way. It did, however, scare the living crap out of him.
