Hi to all, looking forward to finding out new things about the Lincoln Mark 8. First question is why doea my 97 model not have the tailight that goes all the way across the backend? Is that how they were built that year? It has a body colored panel instead.

The neon ballast usually goes bad, and if your car isnt red, then someone may have painted it to hide the fact that it probably quit working somewhere along the line.
