OK THIS MORNING, WHEN MY CAR WAS IN THE GARAGE,EHH CHECKIN MY OIL,N THINGS, NOTICED I NEEDED ALIL ENGINE OIL...NOW I JUST GOT MY OIL CHANGED NOT SO LONG AGO AND IM THINKIN THAT THE MECHANIC IS TRYIN TO FK WITH MY CAR BY NOT PUTTING THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF OIL,WHICH IS REALLY PISSIN ME OFF  ...YA KNOW MY ENGINE IS MY HEART YA KNOW...SO ANYWAYS......MY DIP STICK SEEMS A BIT DRIER THAN NORMAL THINKING:eek: SHIET WHAT COULD BE GOIN WRONG HERE.....OK SO I PUT 1 QRT...EHH NOTICED I NEEDED MORE SO THERE GOES A SECOND ONE,:eek:SHIET!!
NOW KEEP IN MIND I HAVE THE CAR RUNNING FOR APPX 20 MIN BEFORE ADDING ANY OIL N CHECKIN THE DIP STICK PERODICCLY BEFORE ADDING OK,NOW WHILE DOING OR JUST GETTING TO ADD THE FIRST BOTTLE OF OIL...I HEAR THE BLUBP BLUP NOISE..ALMOST LIKE A BURPING SOUND EVERY FEW SECONDS COMING FROM THE RT FRNT,MMM ALMOST WHERE THE AIR BOX AREA IS ...IM LISTNEING IN WHERE IT COMMING FROM ...IM THINKIN IT MAYBE MY MUFFLR,OR AND AIR BAG ...I DONT KNOW...
HAS ANYONE HEARD THIS NOISE BEFORE????

OF MY WHOLE TIME HAVING THIS CAR ((MM PUSHIN 4 YRS NOW))..I NEVER HEAR A BLUBP BLERPING BLUB NOISE FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN QUIET LIKE A MOUSE,ALL YOU HERE IS ENGINE!!! N NUTTIN ELSE
HELP...ANY IDEA WHAT THIS COULD
BE?  :(

P.S ANOTHER QUESTION...JUST LEFT OF THE AIR BOX THERE IS A MMM TUBE FACING UP THAT HAS THREDS LIKE YOU SCREW SOMETHING THERE.....ISNT THERE SUPOSED TO BE A CAP,OR SOME KINDA SCREW TOP THAT GOES THERE?
IF ANYONE HAS A PICTURE OF THIS AREA..IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED SO THAT I CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT IS MISSING ON MY CAR...IM JUST THINKIN OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD...COULD THIS BE THE STUPID THING THATS GOIN ON WITH NOISE IM HEARING?

It is possible they put in 4 qts instead of 6 qts(4 being a common capacity). I usually run 6.5 qts or so. The dipstick is hard to read at times especially with fresh oil.

is the car running while you hear the noise, when i took off my silencer and installed my K&N i started to hear a faint 'pop-pop' after i rev the engine a litttle and it returns to idle, about 5 seconds after it did it  ......nothing seems wrong so i just think its normal, as for the tube you talk about i think youre referring to the high side port on the a/c system, it should have a plastic cap

hmm, the a/c port..it has this lil thingy inside like a prongy thingy.((lol))..for example like a thing where you put air in a tire... thats what i think we're both talkin about...cap is plastic?so im assuming it doesn't screw on it just caps it?
,and yes the car was running the whole time when hearing this poop bloop blurp noise ,umm and i never did any changes to my air filter system it all stock, just a new filter..umm i forgot when i did that..but anyways(lol)
and as far as the the dip stick goes it was almost dry ,very lil oil on it;(,and even with the oil being clean n clear n not black..now im worried that i was runnning around with lil to almost no oil. and at the same time..i was worried when puttin the 2 qts that id put too much meaning causing to blow a seal(s) ..you see whatta ima sayi'n?

probably your noise was just the pump pumping air and that getting to the valve cover when you had the cap off or something.....that thing must have been LOW  on oil, the cap on the a/c port does screw on, and they look do like shrader (sp?) valves, just really big......

Please, no more caps.
Dominus, that's the way she does sometimes. I wish that i could help GODDESS but my knowledge of a Mark VIII is limited!!!!

Yeah......

Well, otherwise, the AC ports will appear to be like Schraeder valves, except larger, and they do have plastic threaded caps. They are usually misplaced by retard mechanics looking for a reason to charge you more money. Example:

"Yo! Toots! Yer ayur cundishnin' nedsa bidda free-yon!"

Burping sound coming from your right front? Yeah, that's your air compressor.

When you were adding the oil and checking the dipstick, was the engine on or off? If it was off, how long did you let it sit before checking the level?

cap meaning oil cap? or a/c valve cap...(based on your first sentance beforee the "..........." umm if you dont mind me askin please clairify

Oil cap... it's hard to diagnose a "noise" over the internet especially the way you phrased it but if you can't hear it anymore I wouldn't worry about it! Just keep checking the oil and make sure the car is not leaking or possibly burning oil...

i have no idea. we put in 6 one day and the car said low oil level, so we added 2 more and it barly showed up on the dipstick.

i think i get PH2 from O'reilly

Hey LscGoddess, I think I heard the noise that you are talkin about on my car. I added 1 1/2 quarts and it went away. Im changing my oil tommorow. So what oil should I use?

I Use Mobil One!

But Adding Oil...to Make The Noise Go Away???? Something In My Head Is Sayin Oil Isnt The Issue...

LSCGODDESS, you had mentioned a blub blub sound coming from the air box area. I had just cleaned my MAF sensor and had it unplugged and hooked it back up, started the engine and heard a chugging (sucking) sound coming from my air filter. I started the car twice and had the same issue, I even drove it around and it still was acting out.
I'm thinking that in my case that as I had unplugged it, the MAF had lost its parameters and needed to "boot up" (layman’s term). I had removed the battery connection for @45mins., fired the car back up and drove it around the block. The Chugging went away. The machine is back to normal.

It might have just been the cold. It wont do it anymore. What weight oil would you suggest using?

My guess would be that he is using one of those "long" filters that fits the same as a PH8A.

If this is a larger oil filter how the hell did you get it in? The PH2 barely fits..

Damn! LOL...

Mobil 1 - Keep it synthetic!

Do the work yourself and save the money and the f-job from the shops... mechanics f-ing with you...

i dont use long filters... didnt know they had:eek:

and i use Semi-Synthetic

I have a remote oil filter system that uses twin filters that are 9 inches long.

Thought you might be using something similar.
