HID Conversion ???

Just got my HID conversion from ford.. does anyone know if they are a plug and go for if they are is there another connector hidden in the wiring harness (LSC had HID"S stock didn't they?) cause the connector is different on the ballast than the one stock on low beam... would appreciate the help!!!!
$1250.00 for the pair. OEM still available..Only way I could fork out that kind of money was to look ahead if I hit something cause I couldn't see it I would never have forgiven myself.........

Two pieces of advice:

One, as that article says; make sure you cut the tabs in the ballast connector. Otherwise, when you replace the bulb, you'll have to cut wires.

Two: Install a relay system. I used an eBay harness Just search for "9005 harness" and you'll get a ready-to-go harness for around $36.
 
OK I did the search on EBAY for 9005 harness could you help my confusion and point me in the right direction as to which on is the correct one I looked in the ebay stores also, if you could Thanks. Leon

I just installed my set of HIDs this evening.

I have two things left to do:
1. cut the check headlight wire
2. install relays- so I'd like to see which specific ones are good to buy.


Quick question about the HIDs though- when I turned them on, I saw sort of a pop of light, sort of like when you turn on a flourescent light. Is this normal or do I need to look for a wire problem?
 
HID's require a starter and balast to start, they should flicker on then you will see the color start to charge up to its regular color

Been there, done that. If you haven't installed the relays, your stock wiring harness is probably not producing enough amps to fire up the system, so it just keeps trying to ignite, flickering like a flourescent lamp.

Install your relays and the problem will go away.
 
Getting the car painted I'll post pics when I get it done... central Illinois? I bought the car on Ebay from Joliet.......96 Nice shape Blk on Blk loaded.
 
can you buy just lsc hid lenses.. to fit on a 93.. i just want the clear fronts.. not the whole package
 
The clear lenses won't fit the halogen bulbs,
and they wouldn't work well together either.
