I finally got all the parts to do my retrofit and I must say...it was well worth the seven hours it took. I will post all my pics later.....

These are the parts I used.

E46 projectors
Infiniti/nissan ballast from a G35...very small assembly w/ internal ignitors
D2S bulbs 4300K
Second set of LS headlights
The smaller CCFL angeleyes for a 04' and up E46.

Yeah lets see some pics and prices...Im still looking into doing mine to...

Price breakdown....

Projectors from ebay = $57.00 w/shipping and bulb holders (good find not typicial...I think)

LS Headlights = $65.00 private seller
Ballasts = $170.00 w/ bulbs ebay
E46 angel eyes = around $50.00 w/ shipping (price is low due to it being the smaller rings)

Misc items:
Spray paint, epoxy, sealant.....$20 bucks

Grand total = $362.00

I think I did it on a good budget and it all works great! I have to post the pics when i get home tonight they are on my laptop at home...

I cant wait to see em. i would love to do this to my ls, but i got other things b4 i start projects like this. how was the install. scale 1-10 (10 hard)

not bad....

Ok 1-10 I would give this a 8 due to the fact you have to have some electricial knowledge and use of a dremel.

the hardest part was figuring out a way to attach the projector and still be able to use the factory headlight aiming hardware. I had some help from nick aka (sacredfire) He did his about a month ago.

Here's what I did....

I removed the headlight (duh)......
then I removed the corner reflector and the removed the reflector from the housing. Then I positioned the projector on the reflector...at first I was gonna come through the rear of the reflector but clearance and aiming became an issue. so I figured out where to position the projector and marked the spots to drill mounting hole. This is were it gets tricky...I used my dremal and made the holes. On our reflectors there is a line right across the center I matched up the center line of the projector with the center line of the reflector. then I used machine bolts and mounted the projector in place. then put the reflector back into the houseing and did a fitting(for clearance and eyeball aiming. by this I mean so to see that the projector looks somewhat level not pointing down or up)o.k. now I went back took it all apart and secured the projector with blts and locktite and some epoxy. then I wired in my ballasts and angeleyes..this is actually easier then it sounds it only works one way. once the projector had set up. I had to figur out some sort of shroud or bezel to use. I went to wal-mart and bought a lamp that hadthree seperate lights on it with plastic shades(at the advice of Nick he used the same one) they fit perfectly and hide the mounting hardware (Oh yeah BTW painted my reflector black just on the lowbeam side to prevent little light rays) I painted the shades black after triming them to fit with my dremel. Then I epoxied it all together and let it set up I used the 5min stuff just to give me enough time to fit it all nice looking. Then it put it back iin my car and hooked it all up to see about aiming. Now more fun stuff....This info I got from Nick...park 25 ft away from a wall on a flat surface. then measure from the ground to center or top of your headlight your pick...then measure same distant on the wall and subtract four inches this will give you an idea of where your cut off line should be. then drive around and make sure you can see and try to notice if anyine flashes you. if all is good then seal up the lights and reconnect and wholly molly your done. sorry for the long post...also sorry about all the misprints trying to hurry I'm at work....

Justin,

Looks like a real clean install. How did you get the angel eyes installed?

angeleyes...

Hey Ken,

I was lucky because, the shroud I used around the projector sloped in enough that it gave me a seat to secure the AE's to. so I placed them and then used epoxy to secure them in place, then on the high beam reflector I used the same method since they are small enough they kinda just rest in place on the reflector so I used epoxy again and just lined them up w/ the other one. But if you guys notice I actually installed them upside down.....The wires are on the bottom and they go through thr reflector through a small hole, I think I should have put that part at the top because now when they are on at night the ring is broken at the bottom,........jst my thought. Hey Ohio....I have alot of stuff from LSKoncepts.....Check my garage...The only thing left is a body kit or different grill......but thanks for the suggestion.....I have his eyebrows I just haven't installed them yet...too

If anybody has any other questions just let me know...

Justin,

The angel eyes look good. Also, email me some new pics of your car when you get a chance and I'll add/update them on my customer car gallery.

Ok Ken...

I"ll clean it up this weekend and put the eyebrows on and then shoot you some new pic.....

Looks nice, kinda scary looking. Nice job on the install. The stock headlight shape and reflectors are good enough for me though.
