has anyone ever done HID conversion in a the stock housing?

any thoughts..............

thanks

It is not the light that is generated, but more the reflectors and the housing covers themselves....would most likely be a complete waste of time/money.

sorry,i meant to say HID's in "New" housings....or is the answer still the same?

thanks

Basically the same. You are WAY better off callin Max @ 5 Star Ford and ordering HID's. The factory NON-HID housings are like $200+ each side, and then you have the HID components that will run from $200+ - $400 for the whole setup. You can get the HID's for like $500 each side from Max (maybe a bit more) and you are WAY better off that way. Spend the extra cash and get the right thing.

The factory NON-HID housings will not work at all. They are designed for the regular bulbs and will not have the output that you would get with regular factory HID housings and the NON-HID housings will most likely fail quicker (reflector that is) with the higher output HID style lights in the factory NON-HID bulb holes.

my owners manual says that the LSC models come with factory hid low beams in 1995. is this correct?

Yes, and NO. Early 95 model LSC's did not come with HID's, but the LATE LATE 95 model LSC's came with HID's, but they are pretty rare. :D

I agree JC :)
