High beams not working???

Just used them last night??? I can't figure it out. Was on my way home tonight and went to flip on the high beams, but nothing. They will come on when you pull the stick back, but they won't stay on. Just reverts back to low beams. It's like the switch isn't working. I checked both fuses the manual called for, but both were fine. Has anyone else experienced this problem or better yet have a fix for it?

Have you ever experienced this problem with the angel eyes? I didn't know if it may have something to do with the wiring?

Shouldn't have anything to do with the angel eyes. So, when you pull the turn signal lever back do you pull it all the way until you hear it click? You can pull it back and just get the high beams on. You have to pull it all the way back until it clicks then the low beams go off and only highs are on.

It doesn't click anymore. I pulled it as far back as I could without breaking it. The only thing you can feel is a slight notch, like where the click should be.

Hmmm...sounds like it may be broken. Contact Bill Jenkins with Team Ford at 800-791-6436. He can get you a new one cheaper than the dealer. Then come over to the house one day and I'll help you put it in.

You need the combo switch. The part number is 2W4Z-13K359-CA. Cost is around $90 plus shipping. You need part number 4 in the picture below:

Thanks for the info Ken, but it magically started working again last night. I know it wasn't user error, I tried it repeatedly and so did my wife...Maybe I didn't have the light switch turned all the way over to the on position and that was causing the lever to not catch. I don't know, but either way, I'm good to go.
