his guyz....long time no see! how is everyones lsc treating them ?

hmm mine is well, recently basic maintinance done but she's still running smoothly....but noticed a leak so i took my baby to get her oil changed now my dealer mechanic said i have a tranny oil leak which is hitting my main cross bars of the exaust..well thats what my dealer mechanic said when i mentioned im seeing oil on my driveway n garage floor, plus i thought i was smelling gas fumes which he said it turned out to be the tranny flid hitting that area since it hot while driving..(is this right?)..any idea where i should look when i put her on the lift...?my mechanic did not show me he just said that *and* lol --i need a new tranny (for what now???)...i know i know i dont think i need a new tranny due to a leak...right?just so u know my shifting is fine...im hoping i just need maybe just a gasket or something....anyone have this problem, where should i look???any pointers for me will be greatfully appreciated .
no one want to be "dripping" ;-/,hehehe unless it for a good cause!

Is it dripping on the passenger side of the car? A common leak is from the dipstick o-ring, where the dipstick tube enters into the pan area. This was the problem on mine, o-ring only cost roughly 34 cents. Another place you could check is the trans cooler lines where they enter the trans. Right above where the dipstick tube is. Hope you figure it out, good luck.

In Response...

umm well yeah from how my car is parked it spill/drips markings on the floor are on the right side of the car. umm would you know where theres a pic of this area meaning under the car where tranny meets engine...so i can use it for referance when looking for this mistery leak while the car is on the lift.
once it goes up on the lift..lol where are these rings, and things located...(umm i know where the tranny meets with the engine, and where the tranny dip stick located but locating these lil things from under the car i wouldnt know where to look first.

Well, I couldn't find a pic from under a car, but thanks to www.ford-aod.com I found a pic to show you. Here it is, should make it easier to find what you're looking for while under the car.

i had that happen to me it was the o ring around the dip stick tube, easy to fix just remove the exhaust and the one bolt on the tube and pull it out and replace ther o-ring, you can get one for 2 cents, just make sure it dont lead to a 2000.00 prob.do it now

tomorrow sometime im going to put her up...(if the lift is free of any cars on it)
if it ain't this, then what else should i look for while she' up in the air.
umm would it be right based on what the mechanic said it drippin on my main cross bars of the muffler?
